A gate that has failed open is a security breach. A gate that has failed shut can be a fire-access problem. Either way it is usually urgent, and we run out-of-hours attendance for exactly that reason.
Our first job on site is to make the entrance safe and secure: manual release, temporary securing, or a controlled shutdown. Then we diagnose properly. A gate that keeps tripping is rarely a faulty board; it is more often a dropped hinge, a seized ground track, a water-logged ducting run or a photocell knocked out of alignment. Replacing the board fixes it for a fortnight.
We carry common operator spares, control boards, photocells, capacitors, remotes and receivers, so a large share of faults are cleared on the first visit. Where a part has to come in, we tell you what it is, what it costs, and how the gate can be worked safely in the meantime.
Cause, not symptom
We report what actually failed and why. If a board burned out because a motor is drawing too much current through a seized bearing, replacing the board alone is a repeat visit you pay for twice.
Made safe first
Before any diagnosis, the entrance is left secure and safe to use manually. Your site is not open to the road while we order a part.
Out of hours, genuinely
A fault outside office hours is answered rather than logged for the next working day, which is the difference between a gate secured that night and a site left open.
Need repairs?
Surveys are free and quotations are itemised. Tell us about the entrance and we will come and look at it.
